TelePsych Supports provides crisis-based
psychological evaluation services to
emergency departments and allied health
systems in the SouthEast.
We are currently recruiting for the following
positions:
Contract Doctoral Psychologist(s): part-time & full-time
We are currently recruiting licensed doctoral psychologists to provide coverage at emergency departments and crisis evaluation units in the greater Raleigh NC and Charlotte NC metro areas.
Duties and position features include the following:

Crisis, imminent risk and involuntary commitment evaluations

Consultation with allied clinicians and nursing staff

Completion of case notes and assessment in the hospital EMR

Completion of hospital credentialing requirements

Telehealth consultations
This is a part-time contract position requiring the psychologist to be on-site for the full duration of their assigned shift. The psychologist is paid at an hourly rate for the full duration of the shift regardless of how many patients are seen. Additional Telehealth opportunities are available for those providing onsite coverage.
Selected candidates will join a rotation of other doctoral psychologists which offers excellent colleague interaction and peer support, and will receive appointment to hospital privileges.
Shift coverage is flexible ranging from a minimum of 3 shifts per month up to full-time equivalence (32+ hours/week) depending on unit needs and candidate interest level, with opportunities across varied shifts:

evenings
-
overnights
-
weekend days
Candidate Requirements:
Must possess N.C. licensure as a Licensed Psychologist (LP). Prior experience in suicide and homicide risk assessment, emergency, crisis, correctional, or inpatient settings is preferred, but not required. Candidates without such experience but willingness to learn and expand with this population are encouraged to apply. Clinical supervision can be offered to any candidate who is new to this area of clinical work, but shows interest and drive to expand their clinical skills.
Professional qualities of integrity, flexibility, team work ethic, and willingness to learn are core qualities for doctors on the rotation. All qualified candidates will receive serious consideration.
