TelePsych Supports, an industry leader in psychological crisis services, is seeking dedicated, passionate, and motivated Licensed Psychologists (LP) to provide crisis evaluation and support services for hospital systems, emergency departments and allied health units.
TelePsych Supports was created with one goal: to bridge the gap in behavioral health service delivery. Our core mission is to provide competent, timely, and compassionate behavioral health crisis evaluation services to hospital facilities and allied-health settings that lack ready access to such services, or that historically have had logistical barriers to securing such services in-house. We leverage the unique skills of psychologists to deliver on this promise!
TelePsych Supports – Behavioral Health Simplified!
Responsibilities:
The selected candidate will function as Clinical Director for a group of doctoral clinical psychologists, who provide psychological evaluations to patients within the hospital system, focusing on crisis assessments within the emergency department, crisis consultation to the Behavioral Health Unit, and clinical consultations to behavioral inpatient units and allied medical services. The candidate must have excellent tactical and strategic management skills, interest and ability to work in a fast paced environment, and ability to develop the program within the needs and vision of hospital clinical leadership, and in collaboration with TelePsych Supports Chief Clinical Officer.
Specific Duties:
1. Clinical crisis evaluations and Consultation to patients in psychological crisis
2. Imminent Risk and Involuntary Commitment Evaluations
3. Clinical evaluations to determine appropriate least-restrictive level of care and diversion options
4. Clinical Risk Consultations to Behavioral Health Unit and Allied Medical Units
5. Collaboration – function as an integral clinical team member with psychiatry, medical staff, nursing, and other ancillary support services within the hospital ecosystem
6. Continuous Quality Improvement - participate in quality assurance, utilization review, and performance improvement programs as requested
7. Utilize the hospital EMR (EPIC) to document clinical services thoroughly and competently
8. Manage a growing psychology rotation and provide clinical leadership, training, and onboarding to other licensed psychologists in the group. Help drive growth of the program from both a tactical and strategic perspective, working closely with the Chief Clinical Officer.

Compensation Package:
$115K to $130K annually
Candidate Requirements:
Must possess N.C. licensure as a Licensed Psychologist (LP). Prior experience in suicide and homicide risk assessment, emergency, crisis, correctional, or inpatient settings is preferred, but not required. Candidates without such experience but willingness to learn and expand with this population are encouraged to apply. Clinical supervision can be offered to any candidate who is new to this area of clinical work, but shows interest and drive to expand their clinical skills.
Professional qualities of integrity, flexibility, team work ethic, and willingness to learn are core qualities for doctors on the rotation. All qualified candidates will receive serious consideration.​
This role offers excellent flexibility in coverage options in an exciting and dynamic clinical environment. Prior emergency and crisis evaluation experience preferred, but not required. We offer excellent onboarding training and supervision for psychologists interested in making a career move into this exciting high-impact clinical arena.
